2011 National Call for Teacher Papers


In conjunction with the National COPILAS Gala in Honor of his Excellency, Giulio Terzi di Sant’Agata, Ambassador of Italy to the United States held on April 2, 2011 in Washington, DC and in an effort to illuminate the Italian Language within American schools, the National COPILAS announces the winning Papers for its first Call for Teacher Papers.

Over 300 schools across the United States were sent applications for teachers to submit short essays on “How Do You Teach Italian/Italian Studies/Literature/Music in the 2lst Century? What is the impact it has on your students? How do you as a teacher promote the beauty of our language and culture to a student incorporating both the traditional forms of teaching and the technological advances in our classrooms?”

The National COPILAS is proud to present and congratulate the top two Teacher Paper submissions:


First Prize
