Why Become a Member of National COPILAS?
The National Council for the Promotion of Italian Language in American Schools provides members with opportunities for professional development, global networking, leadership opportunities, travel and study abroad programs and research skills enriching the lives of our members who are of all ages and academic backgrounds. Activities and opportunities are afforded to students, teachers, administrators, business and government communities in the public and private sectors to promote and appreciate the richness of the Italian language and Culture. National COPILAS is an action oriented and results driven professional organization.
In addition, by becoming a member of National COPILAS you are helping to support Italian Language Programs throughout the United States in grades K-12 as well as support the Advanced College Placement (AP) Testing program.
We offer membership benefits to those who study, teach, promote and wish to maintain and support Italian Language Programs throughout the United States.
Our Membership Categories:
ACADEMIC MEMBERSHIP
The National COPILAS encourages all educators delivering Italian Language and Culture programs and all College Students participating in Italian Language & Culture Study Programs to join National COPILAS.
Annual Tax Deductible Donation: $20.00
ELIGIBILITY: Must be a College or University Professor, Public & Private School Teachers of Grades K-12, or an Instructor of Italian Language Culture Programs within an Italian Language Institute or a College or University Student Studying within an Italian Language & Cultural Program.
BENEFITS: All rights & privileges of membership under the National COPILAS By-Laws which include: Voting membership, Newsletter, website member (with log on and password); discounts on all professional workshops, invitation to regional and national events. Membership pin and certificate.
HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT MEMBERSHIP
The National COPILAS encourages all High School Students participating in Italian Language & Culture studies to become members.
Annual Tax Deductible Donation: $10.00
ELIGIBILITY: Students Currently Enrolled in Public or Private Schools systems or enrolled in an Italian Language Institute.
BENEFITS: Membership Pin and Certificate. Access to Interactive Website, Participation in Essay & Oratory Contests, access to Travel/Study in Italy Programs, Scholarship Programs and Participation in Italian Language Conferences.
GENERAL MEMBERSHIPS
INDIVIDUALS:
General support by individuals interested in the mission of the National COPILAS:
Annual Tax Deductible Donation: $60.00
ELIGIBILITY: Any individual interested in the mission of National COPILAS who would like to help.
BENEFITS: All rights & privileges of membership under the National COPILAS By-Laws which include: Voting membership, Newsletter, Website member, Membership pin and certificate, Networking, Invitations to events, Participation in events sponsored by National COPILAS.
LOCAL ITALIAN-AMERICAN ORGANIZATIONS:
ANNUAL DONATION: $250.00
ELIGIBILITY: Local Italian-American membership groups such as: OSIA local lodges, Abruzzo and Molise Heritage Association, Lido club, International Briscola Club, etc.
BENEFITS: Newsletter, Access to interactive website for networking, Advance notice of upcoming events, Special invitation to one major event yearly.
COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY/EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIIONS:
ANNUAL DONATION: $500.00
ELIGIBILITY: Colleges or Universities that offer Italian programs and use funds specified for faculty and students.
BENEFITS: Newsletters, Calendar of events, Discounts on all workshops offered by National COPILAS, Access to website and other links, Networking, Opportunity to host a workshop at their college or university, Special invitation to one major event yearly.
NATIONAL ITALIAN-AMERICAN ORGANIZATIONS:
ANNUAL DONATION: $1,000.00
ELIGIBILITY: National Italian American groups such as: National Italian American Foundation, Order Sons of Italy in America, National UNICO, National Columbus Foundation, etc.
BENEFITS: Recognition in National COPILAS publications & website, Participation in workshops or yearly events, Co-sponsorships in certain programs or events and

CORPORATE PARTNERS:
ANNUAL DONATION: $2,500.00
ELIGIBILITY: All business partners who wish to support National COPILAS in its mission and which have an educational and community component to their business
